Is The Witch from Mercury worth watching as a busy adult?

Probably Not.
The Witch from Mercury started off with (several) bangs during the prologue but it’s first season is too much of a slow burn to recommend to those with a long watch list or low free time.
Breakdown

Premise

A lone girl from the remote planet Mercury transfers to the Asticassia School of Technology, run by the Beneritt Group which dominates the mobile suit industry. Her name is Suletta Mercury. With a scarlet light burning in her pure heart, this girl walks step by step through a new world.

Art
Above Average
Gundam always delivers when it comes to unique designs and scenery. Honestly, there’s a lot less fights in this series compared to previous iterations. This is disappointing because the glimpses of fights you do see are distinctive and beautiful.

Characters
Average
The series has a diverse cast of characters but they tend to be pretty one-note. For at least half of the season (12 episodes), you can estimate each character’s reactions. Which ends up kind of boring to be honest.

Binge-Ability
Below Average
Throughout the 10+ episodes I watched, I kept hoping that the series would pick up to the high the prologue left me. However, it just wasn’t the case. I ended up dropping it because it just was a slog to watch through.
You should watch something else if you’re a busy person. If you have extra time and you’re a big fan of Gundam and school settings, give it a chance and comment below how it was.
Grading Scale
I use a five point scale (Poor, Below Average, Average, Above Average, Excellent)
Average is not bad, it’s average. You’ll likely enjoy it, but you may find greater enjoyment in another book.
